Lutz Florida is located just 25 minutes north of Tampa and is one of the best suburbs with a long history and top-rated schools. Living in Lutz FL you will find the perfect mix of master planned communities and country living.Â
The once very rural community was known for the sawmill and a train depot in the early 1900’s. Lutz continued to grow and an authorized post office was established. Eventually expansion was necessary and the railroad junction was demolished in the 1960’s. Today you can see a replica of the depot and visit the art gallery that now occupies the original post office building. Â
Fast forward to the current day and you can still enjoy parks or numerous biking trails along with a few equestrian trails. It’s true, Lutz might be the perfect suburb to capture a slower pace of living, but there are still plenty of things to do in Lutz, Florida.  A local hotspot is Lake Park, which has everything from BMX racing, remote control car tracks, canoeing, and trails you can hike, bike, or even ride a horse! The park offers shelters for picnics or open fields if you want to coordinate a pickup sports game. Take a short drive and you will have an assortment of eateries, lounges, and bars to choose from.
TPC Tampa Bay is an award winning golf course built by the PGA TOUR. The beautiful setting gives you the feeling of a unique resort with the variety of wildlife and pristine nature. If golf is your ideal activity another great option is the semi-private golf course Club of Cheval. These courses are both nestled in one of the best gated neighborhoods in Lutz. They are known for being a family friendly club with great summer camps and aquatics. Want even more variety, there are 6 more golf courses to choose from in a 5 mile radius.Â
If shopping is your favorite way to pass time, some of the surrounding suburbs like Wesley Chapel have great options. Here you will find the Tampa Premium Outlets and The Shops at Wiregrass. Across the street from Cheval and just down the road from the sought-after Steinbrenner High School, many homebuyers look to Villa Rosa Community for a slightly more affordable option. Villa Rosa has over 900 homes with a nice variety of styles to choose from. It has a beautiful community entrance, 3 parks and neighborhood benches that sit along the sidewalks allowing you to take in the nature/pond views.

WHERE IS LUTZ FLORIDA AT?
Lutz is approximately 25 min from the city of Tampa and can take upwards of 45 min in heavy traffic hours. There are three main ways to commute to Tampa. Dale Mabry Hwy, is a 6 lane highway that runs north and south and is peppered with shops, grocery stores, restaurants, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ football stadium. The veterans expressway is a toll road connecting you to the Tampa International airport or the bridges if you are wanting to check out the beaches. If you are wanting to explore our popular downtown area, I-275 S takes you straight into downtown Tampa and you can visit the Amalie Arena, home of the Tampa Bay Lightning hockey team.
